Digital Camera Buying Tips
Increasingly, we are increasingly aware that we will need documentation of a moment is vital. With digital cameras, we will be easier to realize these desires. However, before buying a digital camera, there are a few tips that can hold onto:
Understanding the resolution that we need (Megapixel)
Many ads exposing megapixels, but many of us do not understand what megapixels that we need actually. Usually, the greater the megapixels of a camera, its price will also be more expensive, but for picture quality, large megapixel does not guarantee good quality. A digital camera with 2 megapixels is enough for daily photos and enough to be viewed on a computer screen and printed up to size 6R. If you plan to print at larger sizes, required at least 3 megapixels. Furthermore, if still not print any larger, then the greater the megapixel is you need. But if forced, small-megapixel camera with still able to print on large paper sizes, but sometimes the results will look blurred.
Note the battery and the charger
If your camera uses a lithium battery, its use did not require much attention, and charged enough to use, if after use, please in charge again. Some camera uses AA battery type. For this type, we may choose to use alkaline batteries, or battery which can be refilled. We always recommend every user to use the rechargeable battery type than type Alkaline, rechargeable battery price is slightly more expensive than alkaline, but its ability to use several times (can be recharged up to 500x normal use), then the price of this battery will be much cheaper. But please be careful not to buy a fake rechargeable battery AA type, because now there are plenty in market.
Optical Zoom (and Digital Zoom)
An optical magnification of the image (this is different from digital zoom). We try to get a camera with at least 2x optical zoom. Most digital cameras have optical zoom capabilities, and this is very useful for our purposes to take the image for a rather long distance from our place. Do not be fooled by a digital zoom, an average of all digital cameras have digital zoom facility, but the results with the digital zoom magnification will cause the results of our photos so broken and unclear. We recommend that when not forced to, make sure to always avoid the use of digital zoom. Digital zoom can also be done with software on a PC.
Facility for low-light shoots
In bright light conditions that do not usually have trouble getting the camera focus before we shoot the object. Therefore, some digital cameras equipped with lights aid (various forms) that functions to help capture photos in places that lack of light. This is very important especially on taking photos indoors.
Notice The Memory Storage
Some cameras have internal memory in it, but usually not very large capacity. Therefore, we must ensure that our digital camera is equipped with ports for external memory, so that we can provide extra memory in accordance * with our needs. There are many kinds of memory that can be used in digital cameras, types and shapes are usually tailored to the type of digital camera. The price varies, but the greater the capacity, then the price will be more expensive as well. Internal memory on your digital camera can be ignored when the digital camera does not have such facilities.
Try the camera before you buy
The digital camera is similar to other digital media, and the menu usually comes with the controller buttons to suit our purposes. Some camera has several commands that is easily understood than other types. Comparisons can be easy or hard to conclude if you have tried. Also note the time delay from the start we press the shoot button until the finished picture taken (shutter lag), there are certain cameras that the delay are very long time, but it also affects the condition of space and light where we tried the camera. Also try zoom lenses (optical zoom), if it can be used to easily and quickly. Know how much time should be anticipated from the start turn on the camera until the camera is ready to be used. Do not forget to try the LCD and viewfinder.
Find out as much information
It’s better for you to know in advance the capabilities, specifications, and the shortage of assessors for the camera you purchased it. Ask the experts, or people who’ve been using will greatly help us to determine whether the cameras are eligible to be purchased. Some websites on the Internet provides many reviews about digital cameras, ranging from a global review until the review as detailed as-details. Place a discussion on the Internet is also highly recommended for a reference before buying a digital camera.
Additional Features
Many digital cameras are equipped with additional features, one that always there is the ability to record moving images (video). In digital cameras, this feature only as an additional course and his ability is very limited. Hope you did not specify the decision to buy a digital camera from the camera the ability to record video. Video recordings from a digital camera will not be maximum, a digital camera designed for maximum result of still image. If you intend to record more video, you should consider buying a digital camcorder or a similar device which is designed to record video.
Consider buying a card reader
Card reader is an additional tool that is used to read memory cards in digital cameras. At the moment we buy a digital camera, it would have been included cable and driver to transfer move / photos from camera to computer. But if we use a tool called a card reader, then we will save time for transferring from camera to computer and done in a way that is very easy, besides if we use a card reader, then we do not need the camera is turned on (on) and finally we also can save the life of our battery.
